There are so many awesome small businesses offering lovely unique and creative Birthday and Christmas gifts for kids, so we wanted to share a few of our favourites.

We always try and buy presents from a small business as we are one ourselves, so we know just how exciting it is when someone loves what you do and places an order it’s a buzz and a pat on the back and means so much more to us than the big companies!

So it’s probably clear by now that we love a bit of personalising on our T-shirt painting kits as well as being huge fans of happy-making fun colourful things popping through the postbox, so first up we have the awesome small business The Happy Mail

Our next creative and fun small business children’s gift comes from My Little Squiggle who do an incredible range of beautifully bold coloured crayons. We love buying arts and crafts presents for children we know and they can be personalised with names and ages and come in a variety of themes. See below an example of their Space theme - they also do Dinosaurs, Unicorns and many others, many of which we do too with our T-shirt painting kits! It’s a very exciting small business that we are keeping our eyes on!

Creative Small Business Present for Kids

All the gifts from this small business are designed to bring Joy!

We totally love the happy-making small business The Joy Edit - it sells gifts for both adults and children, all designed to bring joy and spread happiness with little acts of love. This is exactly what we want out of our present giving and what we hope people get out of our T-shirt painting kits too! We love their carefully selected range of lovely stuff and I know a little unicorn loving girl that would love something like this in her bedroom!

Small business children’s clothing from another Mama run business

We love this amazing clothing brand called Play Cotton - the clothes are all covered in gorgeous fun prints to bring smiles to little faces, including these incredible banana leggings!

Yummy small business craft activity

Next we have our fave crafty baking kits from Craft + Crumb - we love the combination of art and baking and they just keep making more cool kits, so if you know us you may receive one!

There’s loads to choose from, we had the cupcake burger one which was a madly realistic looking burger and chips made out of cake and icing - and you can see their ‘art class biscuit kit’ below. I’ve actually just noticed they won Gift of the Year 2021 which is incredible and very well deserved!

Crafty small business baking gift

Our new go to when we have no idea what to get

Finally we have Lark London…This is one of our best discoveries through Instagram and is now going to be my go to for present buying. I scrolled through this weekend and literally found so many ideas and cute and original presents that didn’t break the bank.

This small business family run store is based in South London but sells online (thankfully as you know the nosebleed situation when we cross the river!) and they have loads of gifts in our favourite themes so I found it very hard to pick just one to feature.
