How to create your own personalised T-shirt with our kits
Make sure you wear an apron or old clothes, fabric paint does not come off fabric!
Cover your work surface so you can spread out your T-shirt completely and get to all parts of it without leaning on it
Place a piece of cardboard inside your T-shirt so the paints don't seep through to the other side

4. Choose your favourite colours for the fabric paints and pens and practise using them so you get a feel for how they work
5. Decorate your T-shirt with your initial - think about where you will put your initial, you can draw round it as many times as you like, have it on the front or the back or both, have it lining the bottom of the T-shirt or on the sleeves...anything goes

6. Our fabric paints are 3D so they can be squeezed from the bottle to create 3D shapes, dots or words. The paints can also be brushed on, sponged on, we even use pencils to dot them on too - experiment with different things

7. Stencils with your favourite characters and shapes will make your design even more personal - think about where you place these and how many times you use them, a repeated pattern can look great or a standalone detail on a sleeve can really stand out
8. Use your fabric pen to add details and words, or even draw a scene around your stencils eg a jungle, beach, planets
9. Don't forget the little touches that can make your T-shirt even more individual, try decorating the neckline or sleeves, or getting inspiration from patterns or colour combos on your favourite items of clothing that you could recreate
10. There's no need to stop after you've decorated the front of your T-shirt, just leave it overnight then get started on the other side. You can create complimentary designs or switch it up completely so there's a whole different feel depending on whether you're looking at the back or front
11. When you have finished WASH YOUR BRUSH! It's very difficult to get dried fabric paint off a brush
12. We know it's tempting but do leave your T-shirt to dry before wearing it!!
